This lovely new selection is brought to you by Frederick H. Ray, former horticulture professor at Delaware State University. A compact, vigorous shrub with strong stems holds up bright, puffy cone-shaped panicles year after year. Blooming starts mid-summer, and as the nights become cooler, the panicles turn ruby-red, but leave the top a snowy white! Great for cut and dried flower arrangements. Prefers moist, well-drained soil and full sun. Average water needs. 3-4 ft. high x 4-5 ft. wide. Zones 4-8.
